They Think We're Idiots
Prove to them you're not and dive into the *newly confirmed* Hunter Biden laptop story
Does anyone happen to remember just before the 2020 election when the New York Post broke the Hunter Biden laptop story? Maybe too much time has passed and this is a lot to ask of people. Maybe the talks of WW3 are scaring most of us out of our otherwise impeccable wits. Or maybe Covid brain is real and we’ve all lost our long-term memories.
If you do remember - bravo.
If you don’t, then you can thank Twitter for taking active measures to hide it from the world.
In any case, here’s a reminder of how Biden handled the topic during the 2020 debates:
And here’s how the media covered the topic (if you can even call it ‘coverage’):
Flash forward about 1.5 years and here’s the headline today:
So why does the confirmation of old news by a “reputable” news source even matter so far into the future?
Well, for starters, recall the video above in which Joe Biden himself chalks up the laptop to a mere “Russian plant” right after explaining how he is more trustworthy and honorable than his competition.
So, at the very least, this is just an example of our current Commander in Chief caught in a lie - a pretty tired lie, I might add. How many times can something be a “Russian plant/spy/agent” until we stop believing them? Give me a fucking break, man.
But then this begs the question - if it was Hunter’s laptop all along, then why did his father lie for him? Sometimes our laptops need repaired and we need professional help. Hunter just forgot to pick up his device, that’s all! So why exactly did the elder Biden lie for the younger?
Sure, there were loads of photos and videos of Hunter stored in the device that were rather unbecoming of him, to say the least. But let’s not be distracted with such low-hanging fruit. After all, who are we to judge Hunter for distasteful photos? We’ve all got a selfie or two out there that wish had been deleted.
Also, if all the laptop contains are just some photos of Hunter doing drugs (or doing druggies), then why lie? Lots of Americans either struggle with addiction or know someone who does. Biden’s situation would have elicited empathy if marketed properly. On top of that, he would have had bonus points for actually telling the truth and have the supposed edge on Trump, who he indirectly called a dishonorable liar during the debates.
Well, here’s the answer: the laptop is both evidence of Hunter’s neglect and stupidity as well as the Biden’s collective corruption as far as business in Ukraine (oddly enough!) is concerned. If anyone will recall, there’s video evidence displaying some good, old-fashioned quid-pro-quo, which was Grandpa Joe’s way of dealing with a foreign investigation into his son and the company he worked for:
Look, I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: I’m not a journalist. All I have is what I’ve read, most of which details the fact that Hunter was employed by a Ukrainian energy company for an impressive salary, apparently in an attempt to gain influence over Joe Biden who was VP during all this (given the video above, perhaps Hunter’s hefty salary was worth it). And the laptop evidently contains more shady shit like this.
My main concern, however, with this entire topic is simple - Biden lied on several occasions about some pretty damning stuff and both the corporate media and social media ran damage control for him while promoting a counter narrative of blatant falsehoods.
Now, I know I really tested your brain earlier by asking you to recall the laptop story from just over a year ago. But here comes a more difficult feat: do you remember the Steele Dossier from, like, 5 years ago?
If not, let me jump start your memory:
Ah, yes. The ol’ “Russia Collusion” Dossier. That’s the one. The same exact Steele Dossier that - just last year - found itself widely discredited. The very document that spawned more hatred for the already-despised Donald Trump, despite its lack in credibility since its publication**.
There’s a peculiar sort of mirroring in these stories, right?
For Biden, the media won’t allow a potentially false story to circulate. Give it enough time, however, and the story is verified.
For Trump, on the other hand, the media will cough out a potentially false story until they are red in the face. Give it enough time and - would you look at that? - the story is debunked!
I’ll spell it out for you: we’re told the truth is a lie and vice versa by the corporate media and social media alike. We’re living in a goddamn dystopian reality at this point! What’s worse is that some people hear about this and want to veer completely off topic:
I don’t want to argue this deflection because it’s so not the point, but I think it’s the most popular counter-argument to all this: well if we wanna talk about Biden and his kid, then what about Trump and his kids, huh?! The Trumps weren’t innocent!
Do you wanna know my response? I don’t care. I don’t care because this is easy to find. It’s in your face. All we heard - moreover, all we were allowed to talk about - for 4 years was “poo poo Trump!”. Meanwhile this Hunter Biden story was actively blocked and downplayed by almost every form of media just in time for Americans to cast their ballots.
I don’t know about y’all, but I’m just tired of being gaslit and manipulated by a government who thinks so little of its constituents colluding with a system of media outlets that are complicit in the abuse of the American people. Moreover, this sort of information curating obviously has an effect on the outcome of our elections. And unless we want to keep voting for dudes who give a grand total of 0 fucks about us, it would be wise to heed Russell Brand’s message:
**For anyone interested, there’s a rather enlightening documentary on Amazon called The Plot Against the President that I highly recommend. Even if you despise the former president, I think it is vital to understand the facts of the Dossier and this documentary presents them well.
